Sisters Coffee sources this coffee from Long Miles Coffee Project. Founded by Ben and Kristy Carlson, Long Miles endeavors to connect passionate coffee farmers to roasters around the world. The Carlsons live in Burundi and run washing stations located at different “Hills” around Burundi. We are pleased to offer the 42nd day lot from the Gaharo hill, meaning the lot is comprised of coffee that arrived at the washing station on the 42nd day of harvest. The washing station at Gaharo hill was Long Miles’ first washing station and thus holds a special place in their hearts. And, although the farmers of Gaharo hill have struggled through many adversities over the years they have persevered to create a beautiful and tasteful coffee. This single variety Red Bourbon lot has notes of molasses, raisin, and apricot.
