Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, execution and analysis of marketing strategies at Sisters Coffee Company, as described in Sisters Coffee’s Marketing Plan, with the ultimate goal of increasing website traffic and online sales. This is a cross-functional role that will collaborate with all departments at Sisters Coffee to execute sales strategies across all revenue streams which include four retail cafes, a dynamic wholesale B2B business and online store. 


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 


Email Marketing

  • Oversee the development of compelling, on-brand marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and more.

  • Execute and send 3-4 email newsletters per week using Sisters Coffee’s email marketing platform, Mailchimp. Objectives of newsletters to focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO) and increasing overall website sales and improving brand experience.

  • Focus areas of newsletters to include but not limited to: New product launches, promotional campaigns, brand story, subscriber engagement, coffee education, etc.

  • Generate copy for newsletters that capture Sisters Coffee’s brand voice and tone, in alignment with the company’s brand book.

  • Collaborate with retail teams to execute and send 2-4 SquareUp campaigns per month, focused on engagement at our brick and mortar cafes.

  • Work with Sisters Coffee’s graphic designer and photographers to create visually eye-catching and beautiful newsletters that align with Sisters Coffee’s brand.

  • Generate ideas for new campaigns that align with Sisters Coffee’s marketing plan.

  • Implement A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.


Social Media Management & Marketing

  • Create content for all social channels and manage social posting calendars using Buffer.

  • Collaborate with retail leadership teams to effectively tell our cafe story on Instagram, Facebook, & Linkedin.

  • Ensure posts are accurate and posting content and schedule is communicated to all departments.

  • Work with the executive team to ensure the Sisters Coffee story and brand is being actively and effectively represented.


Website Optimization

  • Collaborate with Sisters Coffee’s ad agency to increase online presence through SEO optimization and Google Analytics utilization.

  • Manage product uploads, collections, navigation, site merchandise, new pages, promotions and general ongoing website maintenance on Sisters Coffee’s Shopify site. 

  • Improve click-through-rate (CTR) through thoughtful campaign planning.

  • Optimize user interface (UI) for improved customer experience.


Analysis

  • Work with Sisters Coffee’s creative agency to review bi-monthly Google ads reporting. Discover and recommend opportunities for optimization.

  • Track engagement results across social and ecommerce and adjust strategy for optimized results.

  • Review monthly ecommerce sales performance reports from Sisters Coffee’s business consultant and respond quickly with adjustments based on findings in order to increase website sales.

  • Manage Sisters Coffee’s Marketing KPI sheet. Collaborate with the executive team to set marketing goals, and regularly report on performance, making data-driven recommendations for optimization


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute comprehensive marketing strategy to drive brand recognition and customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of creative, social media, and digital marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.

  • Champion a customer-centric marketing approach, ensuring that all marketing activities are aligned with the needs and preferences of our target audience.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

  • Build and nurture partnerships and collaborations with relevant industry influencers, organizations, and media outlets.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.

  • Assist in occasional internal marketing for 150+ employees to foster awareness of benefits packages and overall company culture. (i.e. internal marketing newsletter).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years demonstrated experience and meaningful results in the above competency areas.

  • 6+ years in ecommerce management.

  • Enthusiasm for a dynamic role at a growing and team-oriented company.

  • Experience in a marketing role, preferably in specialty coffee.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to travel within the PNW to our various markets and retail locations.

  • Excellent leadership and team skills, with the ability to inspire fellow departments to achieve Sisters Coffee’s marketing objectives.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing strategies and plans.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance measurement.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

  • Experience with Shopify, Mailchimp, Square POS, Google Sheets or Excel preferred.



COMPENSATION

  • $80,000-$90,000/year, DOE

  • Additional bonus opportunities available based on website KPI performance
