Sisters Folk Festival kicks off it's Winter Concert Series with Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys Monday, January 23, 7 p.m. at Sisters High School. "Jeffery Broussard has long been respected as one of the greatest accordion players to ever grace our beautiful Creole culture, and for that matter the world." - Don Cravins Sr., Mayor Of Opelousas, LA, Zydeco Capital of the World. Martyn Joseph, a Welsh singer and songwriter, has the unique quality of telling a story that seems urgent and important, will follow on Friday 2/10. And on Thursday 3/8, New York based trio Red Molly will deliver haunting and uplifting songs, authentic bluegrass and old-time gospel-influenced songs, anchored by beautiful three-part harmonies.
