The Black Butte Gold is the best coffee i've ever tasted!

We live in China and are visiting Bend, our old home. We want to take back some ground coffee (it is difficult to find grinders in China) and want to keep it fresh. Any chance we can purchase 3-5 pounds that you could grind and bag in smaller sealed bags?"

Some friends who had moved to Bend, Oregon, came to visit. They are coffee lovers too and they brought me a pound of Sisters Coffee Company's Black Butte Gold. Even as I ground the beans, I knew, my search had ended. They gave off a gush of that gas from heaven that has now started off my day for 2 years. I have introduced Black Butte Gold and Sisters Coffee Company to every friend (and any stranger that might be passing by) all over the world.

One day after that first pot of Winfield's winner I called him and asked him what he thought made the difference. Of course, he was guarded and secretive like any genius scientist would be. But he said something that completed the puzzle for me. Clearly, the beans in the blend were right. No cheap second-market beans here and predominately Pacific Rim grown. After I had pried, with no success, to find out the exact mix in the blend, he said sort of off-handedly, "Well, it could be the altitude." That's it! Pacific Rim beans, roasted at the right altitude!

OK I'm a little over the top now. But whether you are interested in all the details or not, this is the best cup of coffee in the world. And it might just help a little that the guy who brews it for you is really into the details.
