Ethiopia Ardi Anasora

We source the Ardi Anasora through our friend Sam at Keffa Coffee Importers out of Baltimore Maryland. Sam named the Ardi after an ancient skeleton discovered in Northeastern Ethiopia. The Ardi Anasora comes from a single farm and is traceable back to the exact farm and mill where it was produced. While visiting the producing mill, called Adola, in January of 2017 we were able to see the heirloom varietal coffee that comprises the Ardi drying, still in the cherries, on raised beds. The processing method of drying coffee still in the cherry is referred to as the Natural process and saves precious water resources at the mill. It also contributes to the distinct fruit notes of this coffee. Our light roast highlights these vibrant fruit notes as well as sweet and floral notes present in this coffee. Ardi was the first offering in the Sisters Coffee single origin Roaster Series back in 2015. It quickly became a favorite among customers and employees alike, so we are excited to offer it again.
