Sisters Coffee
Announces New Logo, Label & Poster
(Sisters,
OR -- November 3, 2008) "Ultimately our customers make the decision, and we're
grateful that the response so far has been very positive," expressed Justin
Durham, Director of Sales and Marketing at Sisters Coffee Company in announcing
a new logo, label and poster.
Posters, accessories and coffee packaging
with the new look and labels have been selling briskly with many favorable
comments.
"Many contributions and evolutions have
gone into the process," explained Durham. Font and concepting came via renown
photographer Gary Albertson, the Mountain Roasted theme from Judd Smith
at interVising.com, BrandNavigation refined the overall look, and finally a
Northwest style was accomplished by award winning artist Paul A. Lanquist.
"We
worked with Paul to create artwork that would further express the rustic,
woodsy, and family charm we want associated with Sisters Coffee Company. We
wanted to stay true to the original images such as the cabin and mountains in
our logos over the years and we had a superb team of individuals to accomplish that for us."
"Of course there were many company meetings
over the subject, actually very helpful in defining who we are as a company. So
kudos goes our management team and employees for their input and many hours,"
added Durham.
The evolution has been an interesting one of company history dating
back to the
founding of Sisters Coffee back in 1989. The
first logo was illustrated by Winfield's sister, Tanya, on a napkin around the
dinner table and launched the image of Sisters Coffee Company. In 1993 the logo
was slightly altered, adding coffee cherries on the sides of the mountains.
When the company moved from our early
coffee cabin to its new
6,000 ft café /roasting facility the
need update the branding became increasingly evident.
"It was a long process but I
wouldn't trade our branding for anything. We are very happy with how it turned
out," said Durham. Set in front of the landmark backdrop of the Three Sisters
Mountains as seen in our town of Sisters, Oregon, is the same rustic cabin with
the smoke that is from the original logo.
