Fair Trade and Organic Certification |
|
| A growing portion of our coffees is
*Fair Trade
Certified and in the future you'll begin to see a notation
in the text description of our coffees if they are certified.
We go to great efforts to comply with recognized Fair Trade and Organic
Certification organizations. Fair Trade practices watch out for growers and
we've purchased Fair Trade beans for sometime. In 2007 we became an official
certified retailer and now pay an annual fee as part of certification
standards, our philosophy and service to our customers. We have been an Organic Certified retailer for some time. Many of our coffees
are Organic Certified; all of them on our
Organic Page.
*Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift
themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities,
protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to
compete in the global marketplace. It involves much more than fair price for
growers and also supports fair labor conditions, community development and
environmental sustainability. See more more
